Moon Palace Resort - Cancun

Today is my last day here in Cancun as I head home in just a few hours.  I arrived on Wednesday, January 23rd and have been busy for the last 4 days managing a group of over 1400 people as they attended their annual company meeting.  Here's a bit about what onsite management involves:

  • Welcoming guests as they arrive
  • Directing them to our private check-in area and then to the welcome food and beverage
  • Answering questions regarding transfers, agendas, excursions, etc.
  • Assisting with special requests (wheelchair , flight changes, etc.)
  • Arranging for food and beverage to be set up on time for meetings and seminars
  • Directing guests to the right rooms for their classes
  • Problem solving and being available for any issues that may arise
  • Checking, double checking, triple checking all room assignments, flights, transfers, etc and making any necessary changes
  • Keeping on top of all events and activities to be sure that each of these has the correct food, bar set up, beverages, tables and chairs, etc.
  • Being on hand to ensure that all guests needs are taken care of
  • Assisting guests as they depart
  • Managing flight cancellations, transfers, room check out issues, etc.
The guests are all gone now and I was able to spend some time exploring this beautiful resort.  All I can say is this is a fabulous place to spend a vacation.  Here are some pictures from my time here:

A day at the beach

A view of the pool from the Sunrise Lobby

Another view of the pool

A view of my room - before I messed it up with luggage

Company White Hot Party -
we had to bring it inside b/c of the wind, but they did a great job making it look beautiful.
